  1. Resolved Question: Is there a chance my reckless driving will be lowered/drop...
  2. 30 May 2008 at 8:01pm
Recently I did something stupid - I went to South Carolina a couple weeks ago, and one night I was out with a friend and I did a small burnout. It lasted about 5 seconds; there was a little smoke but not much. Only a few seconds later I saw the police walking toward me so I just stopped and waited. All this time I moved forward about 70 feet; I didn't break 10 mph. the entire time. When the officer got to my car he told me to get out, give him the keys, my license, etc., all of which I did. I was very cooperative and respectful. He then wrote me a ticket for reckless driving. I live in Virginia and I have a court date in about 3 weeks (I'll be there). I'm still a minor. This is my first driving violation and I have never gotten in trouble before - not even detention. I admit what I did was wrong and I expect to have to face some consequences (i've already faced many at home), but I would be SO thnkful if this got lowered from reckless. Is there a chance I can get it reduced?

  3. Resolved Question: Where the heck is the "EDM" music category?
  4. 30 May 2008 at 7:01pm
I have no clue as to whats going on in yahoo answers, but they should seriously add a "Trance/Techno" section! This isn't funny anymore!! Electronic Music Has changed lives with its Beautiful Melodic nature and Soothing impact on the mind, and we DEMAND that it be treated equally!! This isn't a petition or the start of a Feud, but rather, just an attempt to correct a misunderstanding. Tell me what you guys think, and be sure to state which Sub-genre of Electronic music you prefer most! (Progressive Trance / Epic Trance/ Hardstyle/ House / etc....) I personally prefer the cooperative effect of Progressive and Epic trance. :)

  13. Resolved Question: What should I give a teacher?
  14. 28 May 2008 at 9:12pm
I'm a social worker at an elementary school, employed by a special education cooperative. This year, I began at a middle school and was switched to my current assignment around Halloween. At this school, I do alot of work with 2 kindergarten students in one class, and thus their teacher as well. This teacher is fantastic and all of the kids in her class (especially the two I see) have really made huge gains. I want to get her something to show my appreciation for everything she's done. Any ideas would be helpful!

  15. Resolved Question: is this true girls are these 6 important rules?
  16. 28 May 2008 at 9:56am
Always remember these six important rules when asking a man to do something: 1. Make sure the man is conscious. 2. Crash the hard drive on his computer and line the bird cage with the sports section. 3. Be brief! Limit your nagging harangue to two, three hours, max. 4. Reward him for cooperative behavior. Offer to cook him something that doesn't have a peel-back cover. 5. Punish him when he refuses to cooperate. Microwave his remote on high power for 55 minutes. Rotate 1/4 turn, and microwave again for another 35 minutes. 6. Use "would you" or "will you" instead of "you'd better" or "do as I say and no one will get hurt."

  21. Resolved Question: Now do you understand the War in Iraq?
  22. 24 May 2008 at 11:20am
(ok forget the 'reasons' you've heard, here it is) Iraq is nearly able to control its cities and police its borders. The minute that happens we invade Iran. They have given us more reasons than Iraq ever did, so its too easy. Already we are bringing back our key units to rest them. The idea behind all was: make the energy-rich region of Central Asia, pro-west, that is, cooperative in trading with the West. There were only 3 countries refusing to see the benefit of working with the West and 2 of them we have invaded which leaves Iran. Why do you think the Russians and Chinese are so p-o'd? They want what we want, to take control of the energy-rich Central Asian markets and now see that we are beating them to it. They also fear our stealth bombers and fighters to risk open war but may support Iran and fight us indirectly. What is at stake now is securing trade and energy for our companies. Having rich companies makes our country stronger than Russia and China. first of all, Dumbya (i like that) wasn't stovepiping for the war so much - Cheney was. Dick Cheney, a holdover from Bush the First released false intel to NY Times and then would say- "See, look what the NY Times is saying!" pointing to his own false info. Armitage and Libby took the fall, maybe Rove too. Basically the top advisors to the President are found to be criminals. All the while I'm amazed that this is happening in America but Iran is a given. If we control the region years, trillions and lives from now, okay, but I hope it will improve life for us in America and not just our companies or else there will be social upheaval.

  23. Resolved Question: Legal Help?
  24. 22 May 2008 at 9:27pm
i live in southern california, and i was with my friends this morning and before school we were gonna go eat some breakfast but before this some of us decided to go smoke some weed. Before we started smoking a police officer came out of nowhere and asked us what we were doing so we eventually told him and he said he was just gonna let us go for being cooperative but he would call our parents, now another officer arrived on the scene and then the officer that works at our school arrived and he told us we were going to be suspended for five days, how can this be, the first officer told us we were going to be let off scott free and now we are in trouble with the school. Keep in mind that this all happened about 3 miles away from the school and it occurred before school hours, do i have the ability to fight this and avoided suspension. I also was not the one smoking but since not one person took the blame everyone got the same consequence help? yea but i was never smoking i can take a drug test and pass since im a junior i am now not allowed to attend my senior prom or any other dances im pretty sure i wouldnt be as mad if it was actually my weed i am planning on appealing to the school board the school officer said that the second i leave my house in the morning regardless of what time and until like 3:30 pm the school is responsible for me, that is completely wrong, that would mean that if i left my house and was hit by a car, i would have the ability to sue the school for not being responsible for me

  29. Resolved Question: Should social responsibility be taught at schools?
  30. 22 May 2008 at 2:36pm
We live in a world where competition is the norm. Competition only helps the rich get richer in a divide an conquer approach. No one seem to care about the others. And people feel that is right for speculators to get obscene amounts of resources without giving ANYTHING in return. Why not teach the cooperative approach to economy instead of the corporate approach to economy? Problem with the corporate approach is that the largest amount of resources go to the people that less work for them. In corporate America, its not even the owners that get the most resources, but the CEO's whose emphasis is in getting a short time raise in the value on shares (so they get their share bonus and sell it the same day). Instead of the long term value of the company. In cooperatives, on the other hand, the shareholders, and not the CEO have the power on the company. Why should the burden of our social system be on the hands of government. Why not simply teach people to help each other? I do not mean FORCE people to help each other. (Like a communistic society) I mean teach people to help each other and work as a team instead of getting on each other throats.

  33. Resolved Question: Looking for home energy alternatives - heat?
  34. 22 May 2008 at 9:57am
Last year my heating oil bills were pretty high, despite using an oil cooperative. Just reading about oil prices in the paper are making me crazy - what environment and $ friendly alteratives should I be thinking about? Maybe I am wrong but I don't think switching to gas is the answer. I live in the suburbs and my house is maybe 1200 square feet. Thanks for your help!

  35. Resolved Question: what's the best graphics card for my emachine ?
  36. 22 May 2008 at 8:02am
My old emachine really chugs at graphics. I understand my particular model will support a seperate pci video card but that's as far as i've got with research. I'm baffled & confused by alot of terms out there and dont know whats suitable. Finding it difficult to identify a card that will run on a celeron based system with intel board. I'm using an emachine e3010, about 3 yrs old, 1.2 ddr sd ram, 340 proc. To save any of the usual obligatory buy a new pc advice- I already own a top spec pc with Geforce 8800Gt. I'm only looking to try and upgrade my emachine so I can play cooperative online. If you know emachines, I could really use your advice. please save me a headache It does have a spare pci slot, I know it does because I've installed wi-fi in the slot below :-p I really need to know how to determine if a card is compatible or not. What should I be looking at ? For example: are these cards all different voltages like the pci slots are ?

What are the best type of stores to try to send them though? (Who would be most cooperative with letting me put them there, and where are people likely to donate?)

  46. 20 May 2008 at 6:28pm
I am trying to repair my credit by sending debt settlement letters to the collections agencies listed on my credit report, but they are not being cooperative. Most are saying they CANNOT settle the debt nor are they willing to delete the listing from my credit report after the debt had been paid. I don't trust any of these non profit credit counselors, but I need some guidance. I am begining to lose hope that this is even worth the trouble. Any advise?

  47. Resolved Question: human rights question, help in doing it?
  48. 20 May 2008 at 9:12am
Michael aged 18 was skate boarding on the road where he lived when he was approached by Police Officer Anjou. It was One O?clock in the morning and Anjou asked him where he was going on his skate board. Michael replied that ?It was none of his business.? He was known to the local police for minor infringements such as skateboarding in the town square, under age drinking and abusive behaviour while drunk. But he had never been convicted of any offence. Anjou told Michael that unless he was more cooperative he would arrest him. Michael said ?I am on my way home. My bike has a puncture so I have decided to skateboard home because it is quicker than walking.? The police officer then asked to search Michael who at that point said ?get lost? He was promptly arrested on the suspicion of a burglary which had taken place in the vicinity that night. He was taken to Alban police station where he was searched and nothing was found. At the police station he demanded that he see a solicitor. He contacted a family friend who was a solicitor who sent along a trainee called Sophie who was angry at being called out so late at night. Michael informed the Sophie that he had not been involved in any burglary and was on his way home from seeing his friends. He did not want to say who the friends were because they had been taking cannabis and he was worried that if the police visited them they would be arrested for possession of cannabis. Sophie advised Michael to remain silent and then left to go home to bed. Michael refused to answer any questions put to him by the police and he was charged with the burglary. At his trial he put forward his defence that he had been with friends that night and the reason why he had remained silent at the police station. He appealed on two grounds:- The arrest was unlawful for lack of reasonable suspicion. No adverse inferences should be drawn from his decision to remain silent at the police station. Discuss these two issues in the context of civil liberties and human rights.

  55. Resolved Question: A question about apartment renters rights in Pennsylvania?
  56. 18 May 2008 at 8:21pm
I've rented my apartment for the past ten years. I am a good neighbor, mind my own business, friendly and courteous, helpful to anyone who asks, I pay my rent on time each month without fail, and whenever my landlord needs my cooperation in anything, I am cooperative and helpful. The building has 8 units, and each unit comes with two private parking spots in the rear of it, away from the street. The parking spots are including in the rent, and are strictly my own; I have a van parked there that I am waiting for a new title to get issued so I can register it. Its a nice looking vehicle, not an eyesoar - has no safety issues, and is in my private spot. The landlord says if I cannot register it immediately, he will have the police tow it at my expense. The parking is not facility parking - its part of my rental. Does anyone know what rights I have with regard to whats parked there? If its not on the street, I am not breaking any laws. Do I have any legal leg to stand on? Help! Windy - no, its not anywhere near the street, its private apt. parking that I get along w/my apt. for a monthly fee - its my private parking spot. All 8 apt. tenants are best of friends - and the vehicle is real nice, not ugly. What if it were a trailor or a track car? Isn't this just like if the landlord were to come into my home and make me get rid of my sofa? Whats in my rented spot should be my business (I think)- and theres no breaking any law because its parked in a private rented spot - nowhere even near a public road - way in the back of the building even completely out of sight to any passerbys. Does anyone know where I could get a copy of how the law would read in regards to additional space that comes with an apartment rental? Thanks for any help you could give - oh - penndot says due to a keypunch error, my vans title was coded as being crushed in a crusher - thats why theres a delay in getting a new title issued - they have to re-code it first.

  66. 14 May 2008 at 9:55pm
I just recently (less than a week and a half) traded in my truck for another from a buy-here-pay-here dealership. The truck I traded was purchased from them, as well, and they are usually very cooperative. The new (to us) truck, a Chevy 1500, ran fine when we bought it. A few days ago it began to knock, now the knock is VERY pronounced and does not 'go away' at any time. To my experience, it's a rod knock, and the engine is probably on its way out. It's under warranty with an extended warranty company called C.A.R.S. they don't pay for the extraction of the broken motor, but for $100 + the cost of removal + whatever hidden fees they dump into it will replace and install it. Is there a law that makes the dealership responsible for handling the warranty fees? This was obviously not my fault, because with the price of gas I've barely driven it more than to and from work in the short week and a half I've had it. By the way, I am in Pennsylvania, in case there's something state-specific

  67. Resolved Question: Preliminary hearing?
  68. 14 May 2008 at 2:03pm
I live in PA. I've got a preliminary hearing in a month on a 3rd degree misdemeanor charge of furnishing alcohol to a minor (1 count). This is my first offense and I'm a college student. What will happen at this hearing? Facts of the case: - Undercover cop saw me give a couple 40's to my 20-year-old friend. I was cooperative with the officer and given a citation. - Neither of us had anything to drink prior nor was a vehicle involved. We were simply walking. - I've never been in trouble with the law before. This was a dumb mistake and I'm accepting responsibility so I plan on pleading guilty to the charge because the case is very cut-and-dry. I cannot afford an attorney, but I'll request a public defender. I don't know if it's worth it though because I'd rather just plea guilty and move on with my life.

  77. Resolved Question: Is this is good student council speech for secratary?
  78. 11 May 2008 at 12:41pm
Good morning. I'm Olivia, and I am running for 2008-2009 secretary. I think I would be the best person for this position because I am a very good writer and can take accurate notes. I am very cooperative, and am willing to do anything the other members of the council or the teachers want me to do to make this school a better place. My place in the student council would improve this school for the better. If you want to elect the best secratary for this school, I would be your vote. Thank You.

  83. Voting Question: Car Title Nightmare!!!?
  84. 9 May 2008 at 2:18pm
My brother bought a great used car which he later discovered the 'seller' sold on behalf of her son who bought it without a title from his ex girlfriend. Now that we have found the 'girlfriend' she is unresponsive in handling the title change. It remains in her name (and her liability) but she isn't cooperative in this effort. Now, he's stuck with a working car, but no title available for him to place the auto in his name, or register, or get plates for it. Can he just sell it for parts without a title? It was only $500, but to him, it was transportation. How can he get out from under this? Any ideas????? anyone???

  85. Resolved Question: Have you heard of Linda Lowndes, the inventor of Microskin?
  86. 9 May 2008 at 7:12am
(My last contribution about fistula was so depressing I thought we needed some good news about women...) Microskin is a cosmetic second skin to relieve the psychological harm caused by burns, scars, and other disfiguring skin conditions. It's not makeup but a breathable cover which lasts for up to 5 days, and is formulated to match any individual's skin colour. http://www.ausindustry.gov.au/content/content.cfm?ObjectID=68573AD2-6533-4325-951F6AF F8A1EEF93&L3Keyword=cooperative%20research http://www.plasmetic.com/skin/scars/microskin-an-effective-product-for-rectification- of-skin-damages.html Who said this was a "gender invention war"??? I didn't say anything against male inventors!! As for "rifter", you're an idiot mate. THANK YOU, Victoria and 666666! Thank Goddess there are some intelligent ppl on here! Sorry Eoghan, LL is Australian, but you're actually thinking of Fiona Wood, the surgeon who came up with spray-on skin, which consists of living cells. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiona_Wood Microskin is not living tissue.

I know that Im suppos to have name how cooperative they were or were not, and what they had to do. Problem is I suck at writing, and I planned on BS'ing my way through it. So, Can you help me out by uhh give me nice paragraphs to put in it or anything helpful?

  95. Resolved Question: Seller wants to stay past closing date... how much to charge?
  96. 7 May 2008 at 11:58am
I know it is mainly an individual's choice on how much to charge if the person you are buying a house from puts in a request to remain in the house a few days longer. I would just like to hear everyone's thoughts on the subject. Honestly, she has been everything but cooperative or helpful throughout the entire process, so I'm quite disinclined to aquest her request without some kind of substantial financial reimbursement. Hit me with your best thought!

  97. Resolved Question: What is your choice of a fast-acting treatment?
  98. 7 May 2008 at 10:53am
What do you use to treat a low? What's that choice based upon? When we're home I do strawberry milk (two birds w/ one stone kind of logic). I carry a tube of frosting and PB crackers for when we're out (she hates those gel tabs). I've been criticized for the frosting. Not terribly, I'm over it, and it was only on here, but I'm curious on what others use. I'm always open to improved practices. At least for now it's effective, fast, and there's little resistance. Kids are not cooperative when they're low, especially at midnight. Yeah the milk is slow to kick in, but the strawberry syrup works right away. So I use the drink as both her correction and protein follow-up. Thanks George, I'm flattered. But I'll have to decline. I don't go off with strangers on the internet. Might pick up a virus... nuk nuk!

  99. Resolved Question: unable to image fetal heart on ultrasound.....?
  100. 6 May 2008 at 12:14pm
so i'm not going to freak out yet..... i had an ultrasound yesterday, at 23 weeks 3 days--- the baby measures well and has a good heart rate (149)- oh and its a boy!!! when i was speaking with my doctor he said they could not image all 4 chambers of the heart-- they couldn't hardly see anything--- the baby was actually pretty hard to image- he wasn't very cooperative- which i think is why they couldn't get good pictures..... anyway- i will have to go back for another ultrasound in a few weeks anyone else have this happen? what was the outcome? what could be the possible outcomes? i just like to prepare for all possibilities. thanks< >
